Our new-look prayers support and encourage us to examine scripture with an enquiring mind, in a prayerful and reflective way. Rick leads both Morning and Evening Prayer this week. Today’s Morning Prayer – Rick reads a passage from Luke’s gospel which describes Jesus’ response to the Disciples line of questioning around sin, how we all make mistakes and hurt one another; ‘Occasions for stumbling are bound to come, but woe to anyone by whom they come! It would be better for you if a millstone were hung around your neck and you were thrown into the sea than for you to cause one of these little ones to stumble. Be on your guard!”
