Evening Prayer and Liz prays that Jesus protects us, is our companion in the Way, sets our hearts alive and awakens our hope, and that our Lord may be revealed in our daily lives as in scripture.

Liz prays for us tonight that while asleep we rest, so when awake we may be always watchful for Christ’s presence, and that God’s light illuminates and reveals greater understanding as we join in Evening Prayer.

Our Evening Prayer tonight is lead by Liz our Rector who considers God’s unfathomable love – the forgiveness of our sins, increase in our faith and certainty of eternal life and salvation through Christ’s grace.

Evening Prayer and our Rector Revd. Liz Newman reads a child’s prayer – reminding us of a child’s eye view of Christ’s love, comfort, protection and joyfulness.  

Evening Prayer for the final time this week with Sheila and Jim – who’s turn it is to lead us tonight. Jim uses a traditional Irish blessing and prays that God holds us all in the palm of his hand tonight and always.

Sheila prays for help from our Lord – so that we may have mercy and compassion upon our earth and see out of the dullest and most commonplace things – God’s amazing grace.

Evening Prayer and Jim thanks God for allowing him to be Christ’s vessel, spreading love to others through action. Jim contemplates being salt and light to many people but especially to those who feel lost.

Sheila and Jim are alternating readings for Evening Prayer this week. Tonight Sheila prays for us all – that our bodies may rest as we sleep – and that the seeds we have sewn today shall reap rewards.

Jim leads us through Evening Prayer and contemplates our companionship with God and with every person and being that touches our lives. Jim prays that we recognise God in one another and through our faith.
