Their last Morning Prayer this week – Cyril and Felicity consider the death of millions of soldiers in war and earnestly pray that all nations on God’s earth strive to live in quiet, peace with one another – so that coexistence always conquers over conflict.
Felicity and Cyril in Morning Prayer ask that God may help us to stay open-minded and overcome our inbuilt prejudices, so that we cheerfully welcome new ideas through Christ’s unchanging love.
Morning Prayer – the night has passed and the day lies open before us. Felicity and Cyril pray that the narrowness of our vision, which prevents us from entering into God’s purpose for the world, is removed by greater acceptance of our failings and that through this, our love for our fellow human beings increases.
Felicity and Cyril pray for us to have greater understanding of what it is to be a child, and for children everywhere to be safe and enveloped in love this Morning Prayer.
Today’s joyful Morning Prayer is led by Felicity and Cyril as they thank our Lord for giving us life and loving us. Cyril and Felicity pray that Christ’s guiding hand directs us and his helping hand supports us this day – a reflection of TW Mason’s thoughts about our living Christ’s hands.
Morning Prayer and Felicity and Cyril consider strength of prayer through unity. God is our strength and we are strong in the power of his might, as we unite our prayers with the whole company of heaven.
Our last Morning Prayer with Remi – who thanks God for the gift of a new day – so that we may pass its hours in the perfect freedom of Christ’s work and service.
Morning Prayer – Remi asks that God shines through each of us, so that every person we meet feels the presence of our Lord’s love and our renewed strength and purpose to proclaim God’s word.
Morning Prayer and our prayers rise with Remi’s, so that we carry this new dawn to our family, work and our dreams. Remi calls for our penitence through prayer and reminds us of God’s forgiveness, so that we live anew each day to proclaim the cross.
The Lord watches over the simple – Remi thanks God for the light of a new day and prays that we wake to shine with God’s goodness in our hearts, and walk as children of light.
